Janey Evers began her career in the fashion business. Studying at the Royal College of Art led to her working firstly as a shoe designer and then as a costume designer for television productions, commercials and videos. When living in London Janey also owned award winning restaurants which also puts her in a unique position for designing and consulting on new catering establishments or restaurant refurbishments.

Fifteen years ago she turned her attentions to styling of interiors, working for the Independent on Sunday with her own interiors shopping section. At the same time she also started her own interior design business in London, soon building up a following of clients engaging her for home refurbishments and home-staging for property sales.

The properties she worked on that this time centred around London in locations such as the Wentworth Estate in Virginia Water, but with the occasional overseas project. Because of her design training and work as a stylist she often used to work for a retail window design specialist, creating unusual samples and sourcing exotic and difficult to find products for worldwide clients such as Gucci and Christian Dior.

In 2010 Janey moved to a delightful country property on the outskirts of Tenby in Pembrokeshire. Enjoying the fresher lifestyle has nurtured Janey’s unique talent of being able to work with both high end and budget interiors, and she is equally at home updating a small holiday apartment or designing a complete refurbishment of a large country or town house.

Being located in a holiday area has also seen Janey move into the successful design of chic guest house/hotel bedrooms.

Being away from London has also seen Janey find new clients who are engaging an interior designer for the first time. Her relaxed and friendly manner quickly reassures new clients that whatever their budget, they will receive all the help and guidance they need to see a project through to successful completion.

The kind of projects for which clients engage Janey include:-

• Both contemporary and classic interiors that sit in harmony with the architecture of the building.
• Residential and commercial properties – hotels, guest houses and holiday homes.
• Sample boards and room layouts for clients who want to DIY or project manage themselves.
• Complete design and project management for those customers who are time short or live too far away.
• Sourcing furniture, lighting, fabrics and wallpapers from companies known only to trade Designers.Spacer
